How well do you really, really know your ideal client?

How well do you really, really know your ideal client?

You’ve heard me ask this question before, right?

And you’re possibly wondering why I keep going on about it. Here’s why …

The truth is that knowing your ideal client is pivotal to your success in business.

It’s absolutely vital. Critical. Crucial.

And unfortunately way too many business owners overlook its importance. I’ve heard all the reasons, aka excuses, under the sun (and in my past life, I’ve even used them too!).

“Yes, I did that when I started my business”.

How long ago was that?

Is your business still exactly the same now as it was then?

Have your offerings changed over that time?

How many of your clients on a day-to-day basis resemble the ideal client description you wrote way back then?

What progress has been made in your industry in that time, especially round what you deliver to your clients and how you deliver it?

Hey, I could go on and on for ages with similar questions.

But I think you’ve probably got the picture by now. I sure hope so, anyways.

That’s how important it is.

Every time you create a new product or service offering you revisit your ideal client profile.

Whenever you write any marketing, revisit it so you speak directly to your ideal client.

Be really, really specific. It’s just one person.

How well do you really know your ideal client?

Check it off on the free cheatsheet here.

And then fill in your gaps.
