Don’t break your pot …

Set yourself up for success before you stretch

“Your business will only grow as much as you do”

That means …

You’ve gotta grow YOU so you can grow your business.

I’m not talking height here.

Nor size.

Not more cake.

Nope, not chocolate either.

Imagine YOU as a plant.

You live in a pot.

The pot you live in is a combination of your mindset, your beliefs, your actions, your choices, your decisions; all held together by your support team.  Those people who you are closest to.

You are the average of the 5 people you spent most time with

Jim Rohn

Those people you are closest to are essentially the glaze on the outside of your pot, your support structure.

When you’re growing a plant in a pot, the plant will only grow as large as the pot allows it to.

The plant’s capacity to grow is limited by the size of the pot.

If the plant did continue growing in its original pot it would break the pot, crack the glaze, and sabotage its efforts to grow as without the pot the plant endangers its continued existence.

Once the pot breaks, the plant doesn’t have a supportive environment to continue growing or even existing in.

Same for you.

Your capacity to grow is limited by the size of your pot; your mindset, your beliefs, your actions, your choices, your decisions and your support people.

When you stretch any of those, you grow you and then you are empowered to grow your business.

Truth is you’re stronger and more able to grow when you have suitable support in place.  When your close circle are people who are growing and stretching themselves so they are empowered to support you as you grow and stretch.

Personally, I’ve grown so much more within a conscious community of choice than trying to do it all alone.  I’ve achieved so much more when I’ve allowed myself to receive coaching and accountability from others.

Super important piece of advice that I wish I’d known years ago …

Always ensure you have support so you set yourself up for success when you stretch and grow.

I’ve opened up some spots on my calendar so you can pick my brains, ask me anything you want and receive some guidance as to what is your best next step for right now.

Your only investment is your time.

Let’s do this!  I’m excited to speak with your soon and help identify your very best next step.

Daphne xx

 Pick your goals ...

and then focus on them!

Easier said than done, I hear you!

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan,

in which we must fervently believe

and upon which we must vigorously act.

There is no other route to success.”

Pablo Picasso

Consistently taking actions to accomplish your goals can seem hard at times.

There's so much else going on in your life that focusing is easier to talk about than do, right?  And yet it's the only road to success.

Here are 10 ways to make it easier for you to achieve your goals:

  1. Write them down. Writing them down increases your probability of achieving them.
  2. Display them somewhere you see them every single day. Keep them top of mind.  You attract what you pay attention to.
  3. Speak them out loud with emotion. The more ways you engage with your goals the more you embody them.
  4. Write them out every day. Millionaires write their goals down once a day, billionaires write them down twice a day.  Seems to me it’s a no-brainer to write them down at least once a day.
  5. Visualise when you’ve already achieved them. Imagine yourself when you’ve achieved your goals, what are you doing, where are you, who’s with you?
  6. Set your intentions about how you’ll feel when you’ve achieved them. How you’ll feel when you’ve achieved them, is really more important than what you’ll get.
  7. Share them with someone. When you tell someone your goals, you increase the likelihood of achieving them.
  8. Break them down into smaller steps. Reverse engineer from your large goals.  These become the actions you take each day.
  9. Have someone hold you accountable, either a coach or an accountability partner. They’ll hold your hand or kick your butt depending on what you need so that you get stuff done.
  10. Schedule time each day to take those steps. What you schedule and plan happens.  Don’t leave accomplishing your goals to chance.

“Your goals are the road maps that guide you

and show you what is possible for you.”

Les Brown
