Later there’s the biggie when our last child leaves home and we enter the empty nest stage. Until they come back again, and leave again …
Many of us are caught in the sandwich generation where we’re caring for children or grandchildren alongside of our parents whose needs increase with age.
For the most part, we women put others’ needs before our own. We’re the nurturers, the caregivers. We want to please others, keep the home fires burning smoothly. Fundamentally we want everyone to be happy.
While that’s all good and fine, it often comes at our own personal expense.
Until you arrive at yet another pivot point where you finally have an opportunity to choose something that you want. Your time to focus on your needs and desires.
