Even if no one else sees. Even when you think no one will ever notice. Even when it feels as though no one else will even care. Even then, do the work.
That’s what the daffodil bulbs do. They stay hidden under the ground. Laying in secret. Nestled in their bed of soil. Humans may not even realise they’re there. Till one day as winter draws to a close green shoots burst through the soil. Those shoots grow and magically bloom.

Success for the daffodil is flowering beautifully to welcome spring.
Opportunity for the daffodil is that someone planted the bulb either the preceding autumn or years earlier. Opportunity for the daffodil is winter drawing to a close as the earth warms to usher in the season of spring.
Preparation for the daffodil is the bulb being content to remain hidden, snuggled under the cover of the earth, until the time is right for it to emerge and magically transform into its radiant flowering beautiful self.
