What if … That was always my dream as a kid. Always. What if? From as long ago as I can remember.
Yep, I’m that kid who never fitted in. I was always different to everyone else. Kids picked on me. They called me ‘fatty’. I was always the last one chosen for sport teams.
Please hear this. I’m not telling you this so you feel sorry for me. I don’t want your sympathy. Cos the truth is my dreams were always bigger than what was going on in the real world. They always have been.
As a kid, I used to spend hours imagining my life ‘when I grew up’. Dreaming. Fantasising. Creating it in my head. Truly it was my escape from reality. I’d happily have lived there if that had been possible.
I remember sharing my dreams and being told that it couldn’t possibly work. Pretty squashing for a kid, right?
So I gave up sharing my dreams and kept them to myself.
As a result of that I put a lot of effort and a lot of years into living my life the ‘right’ way.
I tried the ‘cookie cutter’ way.
The ‘doing it as it was meant to be’ way.
The traditional approach.
Living my life as others deemed correct.
Conforming to society’s expectations.
I want you to know that NONE OF THAT WORKED FOR ME.
I spent a lot of years, a lot of money and a lot of heartache working on myself so that finally I could realise and accept that I can be, do and have anything I want in my life. First and foremost that includes creating a life and business that’s unique to me. That’s tailor made to fit my personal style.
What I’ve discovered is that many other women are like me.
They’ve lived their whole lives trying to fit in, to belong somewhere, anywhere.
What I find is that they’re tired of that and they’re ready for change.
They’re ready to do it their way.
They’re ready to live their life as they choose, not as others tell them.
They’re ready to create a life and business that’s tailor made to fit their uniqueness.
