I never knew how much I didn’t know!

I never knew how much I didn't know!

As a new business owner, I never knew how much I didn’t know.

I didn’t know what I needed to know.

I didn’t know where to find out.

I didn’t know who to ask.

I only knew that something deep within me was urging me to serve the women I felt called to help. And the only way to do that was being in business. No one else in my location was doing it, so I couldn’t get a job doing it.

If it had to be it was up to me.

I knew deep inside me that it had to be and I had to do it.

For me it was all about helping them feel better about themselves. Raising their self-image. Increasing their self-esteem.

I knew what a difference it had made for me. Knowing what colours suited me most. Learning what styles of clothes brought out the best in me. Having support as I changed my image and style to suit the new me. For me, it was huge. A huge leap from feeling like a frumpy mum of four to being a well-dressed woman stepping out as her best self every day.

And I wanted so very much to do the same for other women. To help them transform their life as it had mine.

In between my transformation and my setting up in business, I’d taken the trainings and certifications required for the skill-set I was using in my business. While that had included some basic business training, it was minimal and not nearly as helpful as it could have been.

The reality is there is a huge gap between the skills that equip us to do what we love to do and the knowledge and support required to run a truly successful business. Furthermore, the people who train you in your skill set are not expert at helping you with the business side.

I’ve since discovered what I felt and experienced is true for many others as well.

Many of the women who come to me for help come for that very reason.

Is it true for you too?

Truth is you’re tired of trying to figure it all out on your own, right?

Fact is you don’t know what you don’t know, right?

Listen, I get it, like me you want to do more of what you love doing. You’ve gone as far as you can on your own. You’re great at what you do, but no so great at the business side of things, and you’re ready to change that so you can focus on what you love doing.
