Why shells are like clients ...
How many shells on your beach this morning?
I go to the beach every morning. First thing in my day, every day. Rain, hail, snow, wind, whatever. It’s so much a part of me I just can’t not do it. Fact is, I’m not a very nice person if you try to deprive me of my beach time.
Truth is it’s when I have some of my best thoughts. You know those ideas that come, seemingly out of nowhere.
Anyways this morning’s story goes like this.
Remember going to the beach as a child. One of the fun things to do was to take a bucket and collect shells, right? Well it was for me anyway and I still love to check out the shells each tide leaves on the beach.
The thing is, sometimes there’s heaps of shells left after the tide. Sometimes not so many. Sometimes hardly any at all.
So this morning, I got to thinking how shells are like clients. Sometimes there’s heaps. Sometimes not so many. Sometimes hardly any at all.
While we can’t change the number of shells each tide leaves on the beach, we can control the number of clients we welcome in our business each day.
