Choose the positive
Choose the positive in everything.
“I look back on my life like a good day’s work;
it is done and I am satisfied with it”
Grandma Moses who wrote this was an American folk artist who lived to be 101 years old. That’s a lot of good days work she felt satisfied for, right?
Sadly, many of us have been conditioned to recall our failures and view them as negative rather than looking for the good in everything. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons Grandma Moses lived to be 101!
When we focus on the good and positive we’re feeling love. We know, science has shown us, that love as an emotion vibrates at a higher level than negative emotions so logically it’s a more desirable way for us to feel and live.
What we focus on we attract more of.
By focusing on the positive and good aspects of everything you attract more of those positive and good feelings.
When we choose to focus on the negative that’s what we’ll get more of.
Sounds simple. And it is really. Where we get messed up is our lifetime of doing it the other way round. What that means is that we then have to unlearn how we’ve always done it so we can do it differently.
That takes time, patience, consistency, perserverance and downright stick-to-it-ivness.
It takes courage, a lot of courage.
It means being alert and aware of when you start to focus on the negative so you can turn it around into a positive.
It takes being present in the moment to be conscious of what’s really going on inside of you.
Like any sort of change, doing it alone is harder than it needs to be.
There will be times and events that occur where it seems impossible in the moment to see anything positive or anything to feel satisfied about. In those moments, I find it helpful to remind myself that I have a 100% track record of getting through those times and realizing there was positives in there when I reflect on it later, even if it’s months or years later!
My encouragement is for you to engage some support as you set about reprogramming your way of being to turning all your negatives into positives so you are attracting more positivity into your life and living at a higher level of vibration.
And, be kind to you in the process.
You can do this honey.
I believe in you xx
