How committed are you? … Are you really committed?

How committed are you?

Are you really committed?

These questions are really important following on from my questions about being and staying strong a few days ago.

Why?

Here’s the thing, the more committed you are to your goals the better you will be at being and staying strong.

Are you committed to your goals?

Let’s back up a bit here so I’m not making too many assumptions.

You have goals, right?

Great!

BUT: Are you committed to them? Or do you have them because you think you should? Because having goals ticks a box for you?

Truth is, there is absolutely no point in having goals unless you’re committed to achieving them.

Here are some questions for you to ponder to help you be more committed to the goals you choose.

Are your goals aligned with your vision?

Are your goals heading you in the direction of your vision for your life? For your business?

Your goals are stepping stones that track you towards fulfilling your vision.

However, if your goals are not aligned with your vision they will take you on a winding road. And that winding road will test your commitment as it twists and turns you in varying directions.

My suggestion here is that you revisit your vision and your goals and check that your goals are aligned with your vision.

Does your vision light you up?

Does your vision light a fire in your belly that keeps you going when the going gets tough?

Is your vision sufficiently vibrant, juicy and inspiring so you can be strong and stay strong?

It may be beneficial to revisit your vision. To tweak it or to rewrite it adding in lots of juiciness and lots of descriptors.

Do whatever you feel you need to so that your vision is really, really super inspiring for you.

Do the goals you’re working towards enthuse you?

If they do, then that’s great. Rock on, honey!

If not, it may be prudent to revise your goals so they do get you jumping out of bed and rearing to go each day.

Revision of your goals may mean ditching them completely and establishing new goals, remembering to check as you do so that they’re aligning with your vision.

Alternatively, it may be that you tweak and adjust your goals so you can be more enthusiastic about them.

The more committed you are to your vision and to your goals, the easier it will be for you to be strong and stay strong in your pursuit of them!
