Have you ever felt like walking away from your business?
Just walking out and never returning?
Truth is, I have and I did. (You can read about that here)
The reality is that many business owners feel like walking away. They’ve wished it could be different one time too many and now is their time to give up.
Each person’s experience is different, although there are some common themes as to why we as business owners sometimes feel like walking away from our businesses. Let’s talk about some of them.
For some, being in business just gets too hard. We can feel that way for a variety of reasons including financial stress, lack of time to do everything we need to do, staffing issues, and many more.
Sometimes it’s because the same issues keep arising in your business. You try different solutions and none of them work to your satisfaction or maybe they don’t work at all. When that happens it’s easy to become frustrated that you’re left dealing with the same issue over and over, and for whatever reason you’re unable to find a solution that works for you.
Many of us feel so alone and we’re not able find the help and support we desperately want. It can feel soul destroying to feel so utterly alone in your business that you just don’t know what to do next. No one you know ‘gets it’. No one you know understands.
When I walked away from my business I truly felt it was my only option. I couldn’t find anyone to help me and I just didn’t know what else to do. It certainly wasn’t an easy decision to make.
The grief and regret I felt after walking away was overwhelming.
For many months afterwards I received calls and visits from women eagerly seeking my services. Turning them away was heart wrenching. I’d have given anything to have received help and support so that I could stay in my business. Sadly, nothing was available at that time.
A huge part of why I do what I do is so that I can serve and support women so you don’t have to do it all alone.
So that you don’t have to go through stuff on your own.
So that you can receive the support you need to stay in your business when it’s tough and you feel like giving up.
So that you don’t end up walking away full of grief, sadness and regret as I did.
The truth is there is no need for you to do it alone.
You can receive the support you need to do your business differently from now on. Message or email (daphne@daphnewells.com) me to find out how.
