New year, fresh start

New year, fresh start.

New decade, new you.

“Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering, ‘It will be happier.’”

Alfred Lord Tennyson

What do you need to do for this year to be different to last year?

For me, 2019 was an exceptionally hard and heavy year.

My Dad died.  The family shit hit the fan.

The PTSD that had always lurked in the background of my life, it began in childhood and was added to with events in adulthood, reared its head demanding to be healed.  I did that.  My family shunned and disowned me.

Come mid-December I was exhausted, emotionally drained, and energetically feeling really heavy.  Intuitively I gave my body what it needed which included much rest and time alone.

When January 1st arrived, I gratefully felt lighter as though something had lifted and changed deep inside of me with the new year and decade beginning.

Yet, I was still exhausted physically.  A couple of days later I ran away to my favorite refuge.  Although excited at returning to this idyllic spot, I found I needed to stop on the way for a nap!   That night and the following night, I slept over 12 hours.  For those who don’t know me so well, you need to know that I’m the woman who’s never slept more than six or seven hours a day.

2020 feels different on sooo many levels.  Here’s what I’ve done differently so far; some of this I was doing in December as guided by my intuition:

  • I’ve sought help way more than ever before; I’m that woman who historically never asked for help!
  •          I’ve allowed my intuition to guide me in every moment.
  •          I’ve let go of the burden of my past; it’s served its purpose in my journey to become who I am today and I no longer need to carry the burden of it with me, the lessons and wisdom remain with me.
  • I’m proactively looking at what else I can shed from my life so I have more space for doing what I’m here on this planet to do.
  • I’m listening to my body and asking it what it needs from me.
  • I’m looking at everything with fresh eyes, curious as to whether it fits the new me.

All of the above, and more, has created space for me to welcome in new clients.  If you, or someone you know, would love a fresh start drop me a message xx

I’m excited about this new year and new decade on so many levels.

The best is yet to come; watch this space!

“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year”

Ralph Waldo Emerson
