Here's why ...
People often ask me why I do what I do. Here’s why:Alone in the café I’d find myself wondering how to improve turnover.
How to entice more patrons to walk down the stairs for their daily coffee fix rather than going to the latest and greatest new café to open in our town.
What was happening was that every time a new eatery opened turnover dipped.
I’d change things up, bake new offerings, create new dishes on the menu; do whatever it took to gain new clients.
And usually it worked to one degree or another.
Until the next time a new establishment opened. And then the cycle began again.
I remember the cycle recurring frequently.
I recall feeling like the hamster on the wheel. Grinding me down. Wearing me out. Requiring my effort. Sucking my energy. Going round and round like a merry-go-round.
No one understood.
No one got it.
No one knew what it was like for me.
No one felt what I felt about the situation because it didn’t affect them in the same way it did me.
What I found most frustrating, was that no one I could find knew how to help me.
So I went on a quest, an adventure, discovering what would have helped me then.
My mission now is to share what I discovered with small business owners so they don’t have to go through what I went through.
And that’s why I do what I do.
And I love, love, love doing it!
