Time or money? Which is more important to you?

Time or money?

Which do you value most?

“Time is more value than money.

You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.”

Jim Rohn

Time is more valuable than money.  In our society, at this time.

Numerous research studies undertaken over the last few years tell us that most of us do value time over money.

Time is more important to us than money.

In the last stages of life, people never say they wish they had more money, they always wish they had more time.  time to do that which they never did.  Time to spend with people.  Time to give to others.  Time to … you get to fill in the blank with whatever is important to you.

Those same studies reveal that time gives us more happiness than money.  It’s what we want more of.  time to do what we love to do is what makes us happy.

Time creates our memories.

Time makes us wise.

Time matures us.

Time gives us perspective.

While we can always make more money, we can’t create more time.

Time has become a particularly valuable commodity in our society.  Time is worth more to us than money.

“Time well spent results in more money to spend,

more money to save

and more time to vacation.”

Zig Ziglar

What Zig seems to be saying here is that when we are focused on our clear mission, vision and purpose then we will have more money and more time.

His statement leads me to wonder how focused are you?  How clear is your mission?  Your vision?  Your purpose?

“Being busy does not always mean real work.

The object of all work is production or accomplishment

and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration.

Seeming to do is not doing”

Thomas A Edison

There’re also real benefits in planning how we spend our time.

“My favourite things in life don’t cost any money.

It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.”

Steve Jobs

There’s value in prioritising what’s important to us so we allow time for that.

“I don’t care how busy I am –

I will always make time for what’s most important to me.”

Kevin Hart
