For as long as I can remember I’ve tried to please everyone else.
It’s been a lifelong trait for me. I have no idea why or where it came from . And that really doesn’t matter. What does matter is that recently I decided I was not pleasing anyone else ever again. I knew with a sure certainty deep inside me that I needed this to change. It was a now or now kind of moment for me.
I decided I would live my life my way. Keeping me happy. Doing whatever I felt called to do. Being authentically me. And that I would no longer worry about whether what I chose to do pleased anyone else or not.
And yes, that means I’m being a whole heap more vulnerable in what I share with you.
I realised that what other people think of my is none of my business. Period. And that being true, it’s therefore not my job to keep them happy. That is solely their responsibility.
As a result, no more do I carry anyone else’s baggage. No longer do I strive to do what I think they’ll expect me to do. To behave as they would like me to.
I’m being completely, unashamedly and honestly me. And I’m loving my new way of being. Surprisingly, it feels absolutely fantastic.
The thing is, that this applies both to my personal life and my business life.
This change in my thinking has changed the way I live and how I do business. For the better.
I feel freer. Everything feels easier and more fun. Lighter and more rewarding.
